Newmarket Hazardous Waste Collection Day

Newmarket will have a Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Day on September 11, 2010. You must pre-register to bring in your materials. Pre-registration is due by September, 3, 2010. To go to the Newmarket web site to download the informational brochure click: Hazardous Waste (PDF).

Environmental Committee

The Environmental Committee is responsible for protecting the vitality of Moody Point by managing a healthy environment on MPCA Common Land (Lots 4, 6, & 11).

Goals

To protect and maintain appropriate screening on Moody Point common land and shoreline buffer in accordance with the Shoreline Protection Act.
To encourage biodiversity by maintaining the different habitats and desired tree stands that we have today.
To oversee and report on the safety and condition of the walking trail system.
To oversee and report on the condition of the screen house and decking, dock and kayak racks.
To arrange for all view management programs on Moody Point common land.
To schedule, coordinate and direct volunteer efforts on the MPCA common lands.
To educate and guide our membership regarding the stewardship of our common lands.
