Recycling

Recyclables are picked up curbside on Mondays. NH law mandates recycling. The special bags purchased from the Town are NOT needed for recyclables. Blue heavy-duty plastic bins are provided at Town Hall.

Accepted for recycling

Co-mingle: These go in blue box all mixed together. No broken glass.

Glass jars, tin or aluminum cans, plastic bottles, #1 and #2 plastic, soap containers, laundry detergent bottles or jugs, cardboard milk or juice containers. No need to remove caps or wash.

Fiber: These must be bagged (paper or plastic bags) or tied and can then be placed in blue box with the co-mingles.

Anything that tears—newspaper, magazines, cereal boxes, 6 pack containers, cardboard, junk mail.

Cardboard: Large & small boxes must be broken down or will not be picked up.

Cardboard cartons must be flattened and tied in bundles less than 2’ by 2’.

Please don’t mix your paper products with glass, metal, or plastics, such as placing the empty bottles or cans in 12-pack or 30-pack containers.  It’s difficult to deal with and slows down the process.

For Animal Problems

Try sprinkling baby powder on your bags.  It’s environmentally friendly and animals don’t like it.

Trash

We're charged by VOLUME for the dumpster. Whenever an extra pickup is needed, we're charged extra.
